Sr. Software Engineer/Architect (Video) - Milpitas
Use your skills to influence a worldwide mobile audience! Vuclip is looking for a talented and hungry engineer to fuel our product growth. Vuclip's core video system provides real time transcoding and serving of video, serving tens of millions of users.

You'll report to our VP of Engineering and you'll be responsible for architecting, implementing and maintaining Vuclip's video system. You'll tackle large, complex, mobile video products and work with some of the best minds in the mobile space.

Required Skills:
  • Expert in C++ and C
  • Expert in video codes
  • Expert in networking protocols related to video delivery Expert in performance tuning and system optimization
  • Knowledge in basic signal processing in general Experiences with integrating with various kinds of open source software in video area.
  • Knowledge in JAVA and related system integration

Software Engineer, Vuclip - Beijing
Vuclip is looking for a motivated JAVA developer who is interested in maintaining and developing our internal analytics and reporting systems. Our system collects and stores big data from Vuclip’s mobile video search sites and applications, which we use internally to analyze usage, user behavior, content consumption patterns, growth, and other dimensions of our service. You’ll play a key role in driving our analytics efforts and ensuring Vuclip has the best data available to inform product and business decisions.

Qualifications
  • Hands on software development experience in JAVA
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience in development and usage of MySQL + NoSQL preferred
  • Experience with Hadoop and Hive preferred

Search Architect, Vuclip – Milpitas, CA
Vuclip is looking for someone who can think about the entire search problem holistically and can implement it. We have a working search engine which is already serving millions of users every day. You are someone who can put together a traditional search engine in sleep while understand the mobile video context and then take it to the next level.

Responsibility:
  • Deep dive our current search architecture, quick turn around for incremental changes.
  • Design and implement a drastically improved search engine taking into account of legacy requirements and lessons/experiences we have accumulated within the mobile video context.

Requirements:
  • Hands on experience as core designer and implementer of large scale search engines.
  • Expert level development experience in LAMP+JAVA environment.
  • Keen insight on distributed and scalable systems.
  • Experience with Lucene/Nutch/Solr/Hadoop.
  • Experience with MySql+NoSql
